You seem to be confused. You’re asking for ‘actual economics,’ but this article is mainly about ethics. It is highlighting a supposedly ethical objection to Basic Income that some people do indeed try to make. The article is not even attempting to make a general argument in favour of Basic Income. What sort of ‘actual economics’ are you looking for? Perhaps I can point you in the right direction.

And where is this ‘straw-manning’ that you refer to? If you have a specific criticism to make of my arguments or the way I’ve expressed them, please make it, instead of making a vague ‘straw-manning’ accusation without any explanation.
