Yes. Some Apple fans might not want to hear, but then again, there seem to be numerous iPhone users who also agree that Apple has gone too far.

And as regards status anxiety, there are many purchasing decisions that are guided by status of course. It isn’t just phones — and certainly not just Apple phones.

And just to be clear: Steve Jobs basically said you should go ahead and cannibalise your own sales, instead of allowing someone else to do it for you.
