Of course there will be anecdotal evidence of the attacks you refer to. That's not the same, however, as proving they are more prevalent than attacks from people from other groups.
As for anecdotal evidence of someone "leering" at women in showers, I'm certain there are many females who have taken a good hard look at other females in shower areas. But in their case, it would be less likely to be described as "leering." An assessment of "leering" is likely to be highly subjective/prejudicial.
I wasn't familiar with the term "autogynephilua" - but I had heard of the tendency it refers to.
