There are all sorts of people who are disadvantaged in a way that makes it difficult for them to compete at the top level of sport. A woman might struggle to get to the top of professional tennis, but so might a short person. So if we have Women’s Singles at Wimbledon, shouldn’t we also have a singles tournament for short people? If we don’t, that’s discrimination, isn’t it? You have a special tournament for people who have one kind of disadvantage, but not for other people who are equally disadvantaged. That seems unfair.
