That’s a very interesting response, because it highlights some common, but misleading assumptions about ‘people who use Linux.’

You are right to think that some Linux users do like to have ‘infinite options’ and may enjoy tinkering with their settings on a regular basis. But I’m not like that at all.

It sounds like you don’t have much (if any) experience of using Ubuntu, because Ubuntu (which I use) is specifically designed to keep things incredibly simple and to do without complex settings and options.

I want to use a computer system that enables me to get on with my work without the operating system getting in the way. And that’s precisely what Ubuntu enables me to do. Perhaps you should give it a go? :)
