Thanks James! I suppose you could say the iPhone X, with its notch, was reasonably distinctive at launch — but within a few months notches were everywhere, so it was no longer a distinctive feature. Personally, I’m not a fan of the notch idea anyway.

But overall; you’re right. Apple does seem to have become a very conservative company — which doesn’t really sit well with its glorious history of innovative design.
