I will add this: 99% or more of men are also ‘screened out’ of top level sport, because they didn’t have the advantages that top sportmen had.
Consider a male whose parents were too poor to be able to give him tennis lessons when he was a child. He’s arguably even more disadvantaged than a female who is given tennis lessons. So, if we have special competitions for females, it seems unfair not to also have special competitions for disadvantaged males. Not to do so seems like sexual discrimination.
