Money performs some very important functions. Money is a very important enabler in our economic system. It helps to enable a lot of real economic activity that would not otherwise take place. But Economics is primarily about the way we use real resources, rather than about money.

I’m not convinced of any need to ‘replace’ money — but there are improvements that can be made in terms of how we distribute money. To that end, I’m a big supporter of Basic Income.
