I actually think there would be a lot of interest in seeing the top women compete against men of a similar ability. If Serena Williams competed against men, there would be a lot of interest in her games and she would still gets lots of sponsorship deals, even if she was in a much lower division.

And whilst it sounds good to give women athletes an extra publicity boost by giving them their own women-only tournaments, it’s discriminatory to do that for women, but not for other people who are similarly disadvantaged.
