Let me just pick you up on a couple of things.

You write:

“The taxpayer already funds UBI for millions of people in the form of disability payments, social security, and other forms of welfare.”

But these are not forms of UBI.

“Whatever benefits accrue around Paul will be at least matched by harm around Peter.”

This appears to be nonsense. If you take from multi-millionaire Peter to provide food to Paul, who would otherwise starve to death, in what sense have the benefits been matched by the harm?

Perhaps you might benefit from reading some more about Basic Income and trying to be more open-minded.
