Hi Jamara and welcome to Medium!

I’ve noticed this story seems to be the only one you’ve ever published on Medium. And yet it’s been published in Medium’s own in-house magazine, Zora. And it’s been included in Medium’s ‘Featured’ section.

In the interests of transparency, can you please tell us all how this came about? What was the process that led you to be writing for the Zora magazine?

I hope you don’t mind me asking. It’s an issue I’ve been looking into lately.
